Educational Qualifications and Pay Scale:

  • Assistant Engineer (Transmission) & Law Officer: Pay scale of ₹56,100-₹177,500 (Level-12).

  • Assistant Engineer (Transmission): Full-time regular B.E./B.Tech. or A.M.I.E. degree in Electrical/Electrical and Electronics Engineering from an AICTE/UGC recognized university/institute. Minimum marks vary by category: 65% for unreserved/OBC (MP domicile), 55% for SC/ST/EWS/Disabled (MP domicile), and 60% for employees of MP State Electricity Board successor companies.

  • Law Officer: Full-time Law Graduate degree from a UGC recognized university/institute with a minimum of 60% marks, or 55% for employees of MP State Electricity Board successor companies.

  • Junior Engineer (Transmission) & Junior Engineer (Civil): Pay scale of ₹32,800-₹136,000 (Level-8).

  • Junior Engineer (Transmission): Regular Diploma/B.E./B.Tech. or A.M.I.E. degree in Electrical/Electrical and Electronics with varying minimum marks based on category (65% for unreserved/OBC (MP domicile), 60% for employees of MP State Electricity Board successor companies, 55% for SC/ST/EWS/Disabled (MP domicile).

  • Junior Engineer (Civil): Regular Diploma/B.E./B.Tech. or A.M.I.E. degree in Civil Engineering with varying minimum marks based on category (65% for unreserved/OBC (MP domicile), 60% for employees of MP State Electricity Board successor companies, 55% for SC/ST/EWS/Disabled (MP domicile).

  • Line Attendant, Substation  Attendant, Surveyor Attendant: Pay scale of ₹19,500-₹62,000 (Level-4).

  • Line Attendant & Substation Attendant: 10th pass from a state/central recognized board and 2/3 year Electrician ITI trade certificate from an NCVT/SCVT recognized industrial training institute.

  • Surveyor Attendant: 10th pass from a state/central recognized board and 2-year Surveyor ITI trade certificate from an NCVT/SCVT recognized industrial training institute.

Age Limit (as of January 1, 2025):

  • Minimum age: 21 years for Class II posts, and 18 years for Class III and IV posts.

  • Maximum age: 40 years for male (unreserved/EWS) and other state candidates.

  • 45 years for female (unreserved/EWS) and reserved category male/female (SC/ST/OBC/Disabled) candidates who are Madhya Pradesh domiciliates.

  • 45 years for Madhya Pradesh domiciled male/female government/corporate/board/autonomous body and Home Guard employees.

  • Age relaxations are applicable for various categories including departmental employees, contract employees, ex-servicemen, Vikram Awardees, and inter-caste marriage incentive scheme awardees. The maximum age limit, including all relaxations, will not exceed 55 years for contract employees and 45 years in other cases.

Reservation Policy:

  • All reservations and relaxations in educational qualifications are applicable only to native residents of Madhya Pradesh.

  • Posts are reserved for MP domiciled SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/EWS candidates as per MP government rules. OBC reservation is subject to the decisions of honorable courts in pending petitions.

  • The reservation roster issued on December 24, 2019, will be followed. Results for 87% of the posts will be released, and the remaining 13% will be subject to the final decision on pending OBC reservation petitions.

  • Reservations for persons with disabilities (Divyangjan) are horizontal and will not affect vertical reservations. Different categories of disabilities are defined, including VI (Visually Impaired), HI (Hearing Impaired), LD (Locomotor Disability), and MD (Multiple Disabilities).

  • Direct recruitment for persons with disabilities will be based on their merit in the Computer Based Test (CBT).

Important Dates:

  • Online registration and application submission starts: June 24, 2025.

  • Last date for online application and fee submission: August 4, 2025.

  • Correction window for online applications: July 31, 2025 to August 6, 2025.
